Bringing up the Maiden Days Back to Life

A small visual tribute to the ones who follow me everywhere throughout the last 14 years!

The MOST WANTED pilot on earth is the vox of the IRONS ;) I want him, too!

UP THE IRONS!

Some funny things about the Maidens ;)

Steve Harris wanted to be a professional footballer when he was a kid, and trialled for his beloved WEST HAM when he was 14.

Bruce Dickinson was expelled from boarding school when he was 17-years-old for pissing in his headmaster's dinner.

Not only Bruce is a qualified fencer, in 1989 his team represented Britain in the European Championships.

The "Somewhere in Time" cover shows West Ham when they beat Arsenal 7-3. :)

A history graduate, Dickinson is also a published novelist, having written The Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace and The Missionary Position: Further Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace.

"Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" was originally written for the fifth Nightmare on Elm Street film, The Dream Child.

Producer Martin Birch reckons that, while driving to the studio to record "The Number of the Beast", he crashed into a bus full of nun, and it was a Sunday. The repair bill, he says, was 666 pounds, but he changed it to 667. ;)

In Japan, "Maiden Japan" was called "HEAVY METAL ARMY" because there was no equivalent Japanese translation.

The "Sanctuary" single which had Eddie killing Margaret Thatcher on the cover, reputedly led to fans harassing MPs, one even had a brick thrown at him.

During one of their early gigs Dave caused an explosion that melted Steve's PVC trousers to his legs, forcing him to peel them off on stage.
